Speaker Guidelines

Welcome to the PR & COMMS Collaborative Monthly Meetup! We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise and insights with our community. To ensure a high-quality experience for all attendees, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Topic Selection:
    • Choose unique and innovative topics that go beyond usual discussions. Aim to bring fresh perspectives, cutting-edge strategies, and forward-thinking ideas to the table.
    • Consider areas of emerging importance within the PR and communications field, such as digital transformation, crisis communication in the age of social media, or the integration of AI in PR practices.
    • Feel free to share your own journey, entrepreneurial experiences, setting up in-house communications teams, or effective stakeholder management. Personal stories and practical experiences are highly valuable to our community.
  2. Case Study Presentations:
    • Ensure you have the necessary permissions from your agency or organization to share any proprietary information or client-related details.
    • Focus on recent, pertinent case studies that provide valuable learning opportunities for the audience. Highlight both successes and challenges to offer a well-rounded view.
  3. Presentation Format:
    • Each presentation should be 20 minutes long, followed by a brief Q&A session.
    • Structure your presentation to include a clear introduction, main content, and conclusion. Use visual aids and real-life examples to enhance understanding.
  4. Engagement and Interaction:
    • Encourage audience participation and interaction throughout your session. Pose questions, invite comments, and create opportunities for dialogue.
    • Be prepared to adapt your presentation based on audience feedback and questions.
  5. Submission Guidelines:
    • Submit your presentation proposal in the required format before the event. Include a brief summary of your topic, key takeaways, and any special requirements (e.g., AV needs).
  6. Professional Conduct:
    • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout your presentation. Be respectful of differing opinions and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
